Francisco Fortes Biography.



Francisco has over 35 years experience as an executive in multinational companies in mining and metal industry. His last position was as Executive Vice-president of Gerdau, leading globally HR, IT, Backoffice, EHS, Capex, Innovation and Management Systems, serving as a member of the Gerdau Executive Committee. He has a solid background on all HR processes and management tools, like six sigma, lean, agile, scrum and TQM. Francisco lead a large global project of cultural and digital transformation involving all operations and sites and over 40 thousands employees in 14 countries where Gerdau operates.

After his corporate experience, Francisco decided to migrate to the consultancy business, where he has been helping individuals and organizations to evolve and grow, including projects in cultural transformation, leadership development, innovation and digital. Francisco is deeply involved with the innovation ecosystem, has been in Silicon Valley and Israel and acts as a mentor of startup entrepreneurs, angel investor and board member.

Francisco has a Bachelor degree in Metallurgical Engineering, with specialization in Germany and a Master degree in Business Management. He has attended executive programs at Stanford, Duke, Insead, HCE France and Hong Kong University in China. He is certified in Executive Coaching by Instituto Ecosocial, in Cultural Transformation Tools by Human Synergistics (HS) and in Leadership Assessment by Hogan and HS.
