Hugh qualified and worked as a journalist, before being attracted to the potential of working in communications. Today, he has over 25 years experience of advertising, PR and change communications in Europe and Asia, working both in consultancy and in-house.
His most recent roles at Microsoft and Three involved him in major change programmes at a senior level. At Three, Hugh was the leader responsible for all internal and external communication relating to the company’s transformation into a game-changing mobile internet business. At Microsoft, he led the team responsible for all of the company’s corporate activity in the UK.
He is passionate about the impact of effective leadership and the role that communications, backed by clear and consistent behaviour, plays in enabling leaders to deliver business outcomes. His experience of working closely and collaboratively with HR and other operational leaders across the business to lead communication and embed new ways of working makes him a valuable member of an integrated change team.
